What to expect
Deep diving
You learn what matters when planning and carrying out deeper dives, and build experience under guidance.
Underwater navigation
You practise finding your way underwater with a compass and natural landmarks.
Three more Adventure Dives
Three further dives complete your course. We choose them together with you, taking into account your interests, your experience and local conditions.
An Adventure Dive is an introduction to a topic, not a full specialty course.
Theory and practice
With PADI eLearning you can prepare for the practical dives before you arrive. Allow roughly 6–8 hours for the theory. With us the course takes 3–4 days; we agree the exact schedule with you.
Certification and depth limits
After successful completion you receive the corresponding PADI certification. For Advanced Open Water Divers aged 15 and over, the maximum training depth is 30 metres. For Junior Advanced Open Water Divers aged 12 to 14, the limit is 21 metres.
Actual dive depths also depend on your experience and the conditions on the day.
Requirements
- PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver, or a comparable recognised certification.
- According to PADI, extra logged dives after Open Water Diver are not a general requirement.
- Before taking part, the medical questionnaire must be completed. If required, a doctor's clearance is needed.
- Participants under 15: please check with us in advance.
- Dive insurance: Participation requires valid dive accident and liability insurance cover that is sufficient for the booked activity in Spain. Existing suitable cover is accepted on proof. Without sufficient cover, participation is not possible. Anyone without proof can take out a day insurance from Scuba Medic with us on site for €10 per diving day.
